A pretty frustrating ordeal.
Two weeks ago I sold a shoe on StockX and dropped off a package at UPS. Instead of going to my usual location where I'm cool with the staff I figured to drop it off at a location that's a 5-min walk away from my work place. A few days later I check the tracking and see it was still sitting in 'Label Created - On the Way' status.
Something felt wrong so I contacted UPS and opened a claims investigation. I always take photos and record myself packing, dropping off packages in case something like this happens so I also submitted that information along with the receipt. One person said the inquiry would take 8 business days, another 15 business days. From StockX's end the repeated response I got from them during this 2.5 week ordeal is:
I see that the shipment's tracking information hasn't been updated since you dropped it off. Please note that because you dropped the package off at a third-party UPS access point though, we wouldn't be able to cover a claim on our end if the shipment either never officially left the drop-off location or is lost in transit after leaving that location. You can read more about this and other related scenarios on our FAQ page below:
FAQ -Â What happens if my item gets lost or damaged while selling on StockX?
In this situation, if you choose to file a claim for your shipment, it will have to go directly through UPS. StockX can't process a claim directly or indirectly if a third-party access point was used.
Please let us know if you have any other questions or concerns.
As far as StockX is concerned on their end there's no secondary scan showing any transit of the package so because of that it's out of their hands since to them it's still at the UPS store.
To add insult, SX is charging me the penalty for non-shipment, in my case $75, even though it's clear that UPS lost my package and there's currently an open investigation.
Anyone experience a similar situation with any intel on how to move forward? Will UPS reimburse what the package was sold for?
Any intel is appreciated.
