So long story short, I don’t invest a ton. $3k in right now and my business (restaurant owner) is getting killed right now, so probably won’t be investing a ton in the present- which sucks because I do believe this is the time to buy.
Anyway... my boys were telling me I was silly for buying a TSLA share and minimal shares (no more than 5 of any which one) of blue chips- MSFT, FB, AAPL, BA, DIS. They said I would be better off buying cheaper stocks.
My viewpoint is- and correct me if I’m wrong- that the price of the stock doesn’t really matter as much as the % - of the stock. Granted, I guess a $1 stock has a better chance of growing 100% than a $100 stock, but shouldn’t I be more concerned about the rate at which a stock grows/decreases as opposed to the price per share, when in the end it’s a finite dollar amount I’ve invested either way?
