With recent news of the cyber attack on UnitedHealth and what some are saying a lackadaisical response from them, is it crazy to think (even as big as this company is) that government intervention could potentially create a rocky road for UNH moving forward?
Rumors of likely missed earnings for UNH, and potential intervention by the HHS definitely doesn’t bode well for the near future.
Historically the stock has been a powerhouse, and they are one of the largest companies out there, but we have seen huge corporations tumble in the past. It doesn’t seem far-fetched that there could be some shake up in the healthcare sector with the upcoming election.
Personally, my wife works for a clinic owned by them and she has attractive purchase options that we have been investing a decent portion of her income into because of how good the stock has been.… But I’m now wondering if we should shift those investments elsewhere.
Thoughts? Too big to fail or get out while you can?
