Previous thread here.
I decided to take some action seeing as how no one really did anything. I browsed the fleet roster and removed anyone who has been inactive for 45 days or more to make room for players who are active.
If you got booted and are reading this, please know that it is nothing personal; by being inactive for over 45 days, I thought it reasonable to assume that you either quit STO or went on vacation. Should you wish to return to Reddit Alert, you will be invited again, no questions asked.
A total of 64 people were removed from the roster, placing us at 436 members total out of a maximum capacity of 500. From now on, I think it's also pretty reasonable to extend the deadline for inactivity to 60 days, seeing as how Reddit Alert has passed its exponential growth phase (I hope). However, we can still expect to gain new members since STO itself is still actively being developed.
Summary:
Members of Reddit Alert who have been inactive for 45 days from today (25 March 2012) have been removed from the roster to make room for active players. 64 people were removed due to inactivity, placing us at 436 members out of a maximum of 500.
If you have been removed from the fleet and wish to return, you are welcome to return at any time.
I want everyone's input on this. I know I took initiative without informing the other officers, but the problem was discussed without any action taking place, and there were people who were unable to join Reddit Alert due to a full roster. I think this was the best possible course of action with the least negative consequences; but, again, any input is appreciated.
