Warning: rant
So I was doing Cure Space Elite with Reddit Continuum but we were short one, so we decided to get a ringer from the EliteSTF channel. We explained to him our strategy, which consists of two Kang defenders (the lowest DPS) and three assault group members (highest DPS), who will wipe out the probes and then the cubes.
He began complaining in the fleet action window that there should be only one Kang defender, not two; which would have been somewhat agreeable if I had been flying an escort, but I was in a carrier which is very difficult to maneuver. This is also a strategy that we've used dozens of times to complete the optional with at least two minutes to spare, without fail.
Our instincts told us to just leave and create a new fleet action, but we decided to start anyway. As soon as the ringer saw that two were defending the Kang, he flies as far away as possible and forfeits any attempt at completing the mission and starts calling us "noobs" that should "stop playing elite" (albeit with severely worse spelling). He also refused to leave to avoid the penalty, which is a dead giveaway that he was either trolling or had no fucking clue what he was doing because leaving a private fleet action doesn't result in having the STF abandon penalty.

He also complained about our "incompetence" in the EliteSTF channel afterwards and I was shocked to read that the other channel members agreed with him, so I've unsubscribed from that cesspool.
If you are ever ringing for a group, remember that you are a ringer and should follow the orders of the fleet action host, not make demands and then act like a child who didn't get ice cream.
