Went to boot up the game (on PC windows 10) and the update loaded, then got a text bubble pop up saying:

"You will be unable to play using your current Video Card. Please upgrade your video card that supports DirectX Hardware Feature Level 10 or higher. See your manufacturer's documentation for DirectX Hardware support"

Literally played this game on this machine without any issues for since 2013 with no hardware issues ever coming up.

I disabled my video card and the game loaded, but, I can't do anything aside from take a step and it freezes, (I know the video card is essential to playing) that said I have very little knowledge of computer software/hardware things.

While this may seem dramatic to probably most, STO, is something that I play to help combat my ongoing severe depression and anxiety/panic disorders and in at least 2 occasions helped me through suicidal episodes.(one such episode that helped keep me alive was doing TFOs with a team who kept making sure I'd be safe by playing - we did 3 hours of TFOs until family could come be present physically)

This past year with the pandemic and not being able to enjoy the other facets of my life because of quarentines and shutdowns extended STO playing has been a godsend that has honestly helped, and I'm not sure how I would be able to cope if I'm unable to have this outlet.

Presently, my industry is shut down entirely(and will be for the foreseeable future) so I'm not able to just go out and buy a new machine for the sole purpose of playing - and likely won't be able to afford to do so any time soon, until work resumes.

If anyone is able to help, with explaining what's going on with my pc and the game, and providing a work around (if possible) I'd be forever in your debt and would be most appreciative.
