I've been dabbling in the game solo for a couple of months and decided with my little extra Christmas money this year to start my first real "Main" with the Legendary Battlecruiser Bundle and the Legendary Avenger/Inquiry as my Flagship.

However, I know eventually I'll need Fleet equipment and I've never joined one. I've gotten a few random invites but never wanted to take the plunge without knowing what I'm doing or how to contribute.

I'm currently leveling my Main now. Should I try to join a fleet now or wait until I'm 65? Is there anything I should be looking for in a fleet or does anyone have any recommendations?

Also, I'm assuming I can't use the trait from the Klingon ship from the bundle until I unlock the mastery which I can't do on a Fed character? I wanted to wait until a KDF recruitment event to break that in. I used my extra T6 coupon on the Gagarin which I'm looking forward to as well.
