Guys, if you just take one second to stop posting & thinking with your dicks, you can help manage the spam & bots. Here's how:
Author Summary
theOthershadow is in St Louis, MO
Post Body

Disclaimers:

  1. "Guys" is sort of general here, but I'm definitely mostly taking about MEN.

  2. Also even though it's not my thing, sex work should be allowable on the platform & sub. However, if the mod presence was more effective, we should collectively ensure that only local verified sex workers can post without spamming posts. Because whether you like it or not, there are valid people who are looking for valid sex workers.

Let's put on our critical thinking caps for a few moments. Consider the following:

1. Look at/scrutinize the OPs profile, and ask questions including but not limited to the following:

- What type of history do they have?
- Where are they posting?
- How old is the account?
- Why are they making a post for STL, when they just made an equivalent post for Las Vegas and several other
states that don't have any proximity?
- Do they have sus links in their profile?
- Does one post in this sub, have a similar style/wording as another post in a different sub you've seen?
- Does one profile have the same copypasta description?
- Does the OP have real comments/replies/engagement on their posts/comments, or do they just have emojis,
"thx", "yw", "Aww", or other super short replys that fail to amount to the equivalent of **actual
communication**?
- Have they posted in the "free karma" subs a lot?

2. Stop commenting and liking on their posts!

Most of y'all comments are trash, low effort, and won't get you so much as a second look from real people in the first place, but that's not all. Do you know what all these OFs/bots/spam accounts/etc need to function? And more importantly, why they keep coming back? It's because they need karma, and they are farming all of it from you. Every single comment, every single upvote, hell maybe even DMs but that isn't as public facing. These accounts literally be asking yall to "upvote for nudes" or "upvote if ur horny" or "upvote if you'd hit raw" etc etc, and you dolts keep doing so. Not only does this violate Reddit TOS, but y'all capitulate as if the OP even gives two squirts of piss about you or your existence. Stop doing this. You don't get anything they haven't already posted, and you're feeding the problem, all for an easy wank and false access to a person you'd never get to fuck in real life. Be better.

3. Report and downvote the post.

Okay, this one requires some functional mod participation, which always seems debatable at best. But at least it's something that helps them streamline their work. Maybe. Minimally, this means the OFs/bots/spam accounts/etc doesn't get the karma they need from the sub, and can discourage them to posting here.

4. Actually read post titles.

I know the reposted 480p quality pics/gifs they constantly share here and elsewhere are a distraction to most of you, but it's not hard do determine an OFs/bots/spam account/etc post. All you gotta do is read, and you'll notice their stark lack of creativity, uninventiveness, and relatively low or copypasta efforts, and you'll notice how consistent these posts are.

5. Just because OP doesn't want to engage with you or take you up on your proposition, does mean they are a scammer or bot.

Don't be butthurt and call people names or whatever just because they don't want to fuck with you. It's pathetic, and only shows that they were correct in not dealing with you in the first place.

Anyway, these are just some basic AF ways all of you can help. It's never just the mods job, so everyone will need need to step up.
