I stupidly didn't set up direct deposit when I last filed my tax returns. I've since moved across the country. I've already missed my first $600 stimulus check, and the IRS is making it impossible for me to either set up direct deposit or change address.
To change my address, I need to do it over the phone, which is impossible, I was on hold for 45min and I only have an hour of phone minutes per month. The other option seems to be printing out a form and mailing it, but the website says that can take a month or two to process so I'm out of luck if the check is sent before then.
To set up direct deposit before I file my next tax return, I need to make an account. It won't let me sign up with my phone number, apparently a common issue for T-mobile, so it says it'll mail me a verification to the address that they have on file, which of course is the WRONG ADDRESS.
I've pretty much come to terms with the fact that I'm not getting this $2,600, unless anyone else has an idea.
