let me emphasize that’s THIS IS JUST MY OPINION and i’m open to other’s opinions/thoughts.

I felt like going back to the diamonds was kind of like a trauma bond for spinel. pink left behind everyone, hurting the diamonds and spinel and the only reason the diamonds chose to bring her back with them was solely for the fact that she was the next best thing. Pink is gone. They couldn’t convince steven to stay so… spinel it is! i enjoyed watching spinels characters evolve but damn she was hurt BAD and left with so much pain and distrust. it just seemed like going with diamonds would have been comforting/familiar for spinel but not the healthy type of comfort.
