I was going through my pandemic sketch books and found an oc. It was my version of Morganite (before her concept design was released). She had a gem destabilizer that she invented called "the Virus". This weapon was a failed attempt at creating a destabilizer after non summoned weapons were outlawed. But instead of destroying a gems body it made their bodies react as if their gem was cracked. Effects of the weapon were:

-Body parts being disproportionate -Not being able to summon a weapon -Not being able to fuse -Outfit malfunction (revert to original/ older outfit) -Some memory loss

Idk how you would be able to reverse the effects. Maybe if a gem poofs and reforms it will wear off almost like sleeping it off.
