Anxiety about coming off first Var cycle.
Post Body

I’m wondering if anybody could share with me their experiences of their first cycles (maybe someone else has been in this position!?) and what things looked like for you going forward.

As a background, I’ve just had 9 weeks on var, dosing between 15-20mg a day for the last month with zero negative side effects. Muscle gains have been great and my performance has improved significantly.

I’m a little bit anxious about coming off and honestly I wish i could just be using var all the time! It feels strange not having it as a part of my training almost to the point where i want to keep it going. But i think i need to go off, because my physique has bulked up but in quite a “fluffy” way, and i’m wanting to be more leaned out by September. I’m not sure if it’s water retention or fat (probably both!) but off var i’ve always sat at around 16% BF as my normal base physique so not really used to looking more like 18-20… So thinking i’d need to come off var to settle back to that. Idk!

I keep having the thought of maybe I should keep running it at a much lower dose (like 5mg) throughout cutting… But then i feel like i’d never come off it lol. I’m just too happy with how it makes me feel to stop.

So yeah - Anyone else felt like this? Or was hesitant to come off but then had great cutting results? Or is consistently microdosing? Any wisdom and stories about your experiences are much appreciated!

Yesss I did struggle mentally when I came off because it felt like a comedown from all the solid training sessions but looking at the bigger picture really put things into perspective. In terms of long-term physical effects both on the body more generally and also the possibility of viralisation, my keeping my femininity right now is more important to me as is ensuring I don't fuck up my body so I adjusted.
