Very heavy periods after tube removal/c section

I am about 5.5 months post op and before this I had what would be classified as mild/normal periods. I never needed anything more than a regular tampon and it would last longer than I would allow it to. Ever since the surgery the super tampons don’t even cut it, and I have to change them very frequently. Has anyone had this experience? Will it ever ease up? I’ve never had to worry about bleeding through my tampon before. Sorry if this is all TMI.
