I had my bilateral salpingectomy one week ago today, and I am over the moon happy. I’m pain free to the point of not even taking ibuprofen anymore, and my incisions are healing wonderfully. My literal only complaint about the procedure is MY GOD DO THESE BITCHES ITCH. Thankfully I’ve had enough piercings and tattoos to just deal but holy cow has their healing been emotionally tormenting me the past two days 🤣 I am incredibly grateful to have had my procedure done, as I’m only 24 and I live in one of the southern US states where women’s health rights are less than savory, so I was rather concerned with trying to find an OBGYN who would honor my autonomy and wishes for my future. I got so lucky in finding that in my 2nd physician since I started needing gynecological care. YAY!
