I'm not happy about it. I know I can be just a giant scary dude to him. I know that as the older one I need to have the patience and knowledge to deal with my own emotions to help teach him how to deal with his.
BUT COME ON! I Watched him put clothes on from a seated position LAST NIGHT. I am so tired of how just incredibly inconsistent he is.
The whole morning started with him coming out of his room soaked from having wet the bed. I calmly say it's okay just go take of your clothes in your room and get new clothes. My nerves started to go when he can't open his chest of draws and immediately starts crying about it. I don't mind doing things for him but I just hate how his first response to ANYTHING not working is to give up and cry. I go in open the draw and he settles. I go back to the kitchen to finish putting dishes away when he comes out naked clothes in hand and sits on the couch. He then complains about being cold. I suggest he puts his clothes. He says his leg hurts and that he can't put them on while sitting down. Internally I scream in frustration, externally I tell him to try. He pouts for a few minutes the finally gets his underwear on. Then he grabs the underwear I head set out for me the night before and says they don't have a tag do he doesn't know how to put them on. After a few moments of not knowing what he's talking about I go over and tell him they are mine take them and head back to the kitchen. He then starts comparing about something on the couch that he doesn't like and he can't do anything until it is moved. It's fucking socks. Not even dirty sock. Just socks. This kid is having trouble because there are socks on the couch. I basically at my limit at this point but I go over and grab the socks and tell him to get dressed. He pouts a bit more then starts on the shirt. I would like to point out he has stood up at this point and said nothing about his leg hurting, so that was just more BS.
He has worn this shirt before. I have put it on him multiple times. This time he notices the tag and decides this is the worst thing in the world and crys about how it's going to make him itchy. That was fucking it for me, I grab the shirt from him and cut of the tag. I then throw it on the ground next to him and stomp to the kitchen. He starts crying harder and goes and wakes up his mother and my 8 week old son. His mother handles it way better then me and tells me it's not nice to throw things. God I love her. Her son though is so fucking hard to work with. He is just so.....Blah I don't even know.
I just want this little dude to stop making his life harder for himself by being so intensely helpless. Like he will lie down and say help me I can't get up for no reason and complain about how he can get anything. Get off the fucking ground and get it yourself dude. I watched you walk to that spot to lie down. You can fucking move.
Anyway TLDR my stepson is annoying.
