Post Body

Let me (35f) start off by saying I love my SD's (8f&12f) to Pluto and back a 100x over and would do almost anything for them, same as my bio kid (5f).

I work from home (WFH) 2x a week and if I am sick, or if mine or the SD's are with us and sick I often do it for them so they don't have to go to a sitter and get our child care sick (shes elderly and doesn't like watching sick kids until she can get her flu shot if possible. Not a rule, more a preference). and a little background, I happened to be off Monday when SD (12) was sick, so she came with me instead of going to the sitter.

BM called DH this am, she is off today, but SD (8) is sick (logical as the other one was sick earlier this week) and said I had to take the day off/WFH because she 'has plans'. He said no and that I was working. She was annoyed she had to use the sitter. She then went on to say "I bet if it was [Bio Kid's name], she would" IN FRONT OF THE KIDS!!!!!!! (ARRRGGGHHHHHH!!!!!!) Bio kid is sick too and is going to the sitter (Today is just not a day WFH is an option due to meetings and lack of in-office coverage).

I have zero problems doing this when it's our turn with the girls, or if I was already WFH as I do wish for us to work as a team. But, HOLY ME NERVES.

Rant done.
