I'm reading The Dead Zone currently, and I'm coming across a lot of references that I'm having a hard time understanding and putting into context because of the time period. I really wish I could ask my parents about this, but unfortunately I don't have parents that I can talk to like that. It would be really great for another Stephen King reader, Boomer or Gen X to fill in the blanks for all of us Gen Z lovers of Stephen King. I feel like I'm missing all these historical parts of the Dead Zone and even other Stephen King books. I would love to get an older person's perspective on them, because I feel like having context would make me enjoy the book more. Thanks anyone who wants to answer! What parts of Stephen king have historical or even cultural accuracy for you? What parts of the dialogue in the setting relate to you, whether it in childhood, in your twenties or your teenage years, etc.
