Annie’s laughing place is up in the mountains outside Sidewinder, where the Overlook is as well. She says she picked up a guy that wanted to photograph the ruins then killed him when she found out they were lying about wanting to go there. She also talks to Paul about what happened there with Jack and the fire.

She may not visit the Overlook itself, but maybe a nearby place that is haunted by the same entity? Maybe the Overlook uses her to hold on to some form in the mountains after the hotel was destroyed?
