Why can't none of the Salem's Lot adaptation get Barlow right!?

From the sounds of it, the latest film once again makes me a silent Nosferatu knock off just as the one from the 70s did. That's so immensely frustrating! Barlow presence and the way he carries himself via his dialog is an immensely important part of the story.
I really thought we were going to get a proper barlow but NO smh 😡
