When Revival came out, Stephen King did a book signing tour. This was around the time I was getting into his books just before I turned 15. I went to the Books a Million in Portland, Maine to get this. My dad drove me at 6 in the morning to get in line. From what I remember they said there were 400 tickets, and I was 390-something in line.
I got my book and went back the next Friday to meet him and get it signed. He was so incredibly nice and I even mentioned how my grandmother went to high school with him. His response was "Jeez kid, for all I know I coulda dated her". We shared a good laugh and I went on my way. A brief but very pleasant and treasured memory.
