I’m reading It right now and REALLY loving it. But this one chapter in particular has disturbed me to the point where tears came to my eyes and I had to shut the book for a bit.

The scene of Patrick torturing and starving the puppy in the abandoned refrigerator literally broke my heart and made me sick to my stomach. I have a huge sensitivity to animals in pain, especially animals as trusting and loving as dogs, so this chapter has been an absolute pain. Patrick, you’re a sick bastard.
