Mine would have to be the Bachman books…read them in my late teens. I think what made them resonate so is that there were no monsters, no aliens, etc. Just average protagonists struggling with their everyday lives. For the stories themselves, I’d rate them: 1. Roadwork 2. The Running Man 3. The Long Walk 4. Rage All are great though, and I’m in awe of how prescient he was. A school shooter, pollution-altered environment, free-vee (streaming services) and what was essentially reality TV…hell even fascism to an extent.
