I didn’t think going into the 3rd Dark Tower book that it would become one of my forever favorites. So much good stuff in that book… to start, the Demon house/ Demon circle scene is now one of my all time favorite King action scenes. (Susannah or should I say Detta and the Demon.🫣) Oy is my new favorite SK “canine”(Billy bumbler) companion. Jakes essay had me rolling (The monster had a Amaco gas pump and was pretending it was his penis.)😆I love that he got an A on it. Props to Charlie the choo-choo. All the riddles, the Grays and the Pubes, Gasher and Tick-Tock man. (Great villains) Blaine is a pain!!! I can’t believe it ended with them stuck on that train! (And the next book didn’t come out for another 6 years!) This book was so good. The memorable parts are endless. I’ll end with saying this book really makes you think about who your Ka-Tet is in your own life or at least it did for me. Did anyone else enjoy it as much as I did? I would love to know your favorite part.
I read the first 3 books all close to the same time I think… and yes that huge wait for next book was crazy. Especially with the cliffhanger. When King has his van accident in 1999 I thought it was all over. Him as a person and his health is way more important than some fantasy book but it was lingering in the back of my mind and it disgusts me. Thankfully things turned out ok of course.
