Hey all -
I'm a second semester court reporting student who spent the summer studying in order to keep up. My theory class works in quarters and I'm coming to the end of my second quarter this weekend. My right arm and specifically my fingers (especially my pointer) and my wrist hurt like a b*tch. I'm using next week to take a break from using my hand pretty much period. What are some tips for avoiding this issue when writing steno? I still have at least two and a quarter years to go so I'd rather avoid constant pain, if possible.
Thanks <3 !!
When I was in school I’d fill a big bowl with ice water and soak my hands and wrists. This is not medical advice lol but it gave me some relief. I haven’t had as much of a problem since I’ve been working though. Also search up some carpal tunnel stretches and do them religiously before and after you write!
