A month ago, we claimed DT Willington Previlon off waivers from the Falcons. He was an UDFA for the Packers in 2020 who went undrafted after Rutgers' pro day was cancelled due to COVID. He had a strong 2019 campaign but it wasn't notable enough to get him drafted... and he's not taken a real NFL snap since.
But he's 6'5" with an elite wingspan and has explosive athleticism for his size. In our system he physically projects as a prototypical DE, and with Loudermilk and Leal both failing to really take flight and Cam's age advancing - could this be a dark horse candidate to step up this camp?
He's bounced around. Waived by the Packers without taking a snap, didn't catch on with the Bucccaneers, Cowboys, or Falcons... but something drove enough interest for the Steelers to not just bring him in, but waiver claim him. I imagine it's to see whether he can show us anything at DE - he's had a few years to add strength and weight.
