[META] How to find out what a random key is.

WARNING: To use this method, you must be willing to activate the key to your account. If you don't do that, there's no way to know. (except maybe steam support? idk)

There are two main methods to do this. The first one is simpler but uses a chrome extension.

Method 1: SteamDB's extension.

By adding SteamDB's extension to chrome, when you activate a product but own the key or it's a dupe, it will still tell you the name of the game.

You can get the extension on their site here or on the chrome webstore here.

Method 2: Using inspect element

This one is a lot more convoluted. Basically, after entering the key, inspect element on the site. Go to the network tab then press ajaxregisterkey. Finally, click the down arrow to expand purchase receipt info and on line items it will say which game it is.
