A few years ago I bought this beautiful tomahawk, roughly a kilo of meat.
The butcher placed a careful shield over the bone and vacuum sealed the cut for us to take home.
When I got home I asked my wife's 19 year old cousin to go take the steak out of the vacuum sealed bag and prep the steak for the charcoal grill I was preparing.
My wife's cousin came out to the grill with the steak, and asked if this is what I wanted.
On the tray was this gorgeous cut if meat, next to it was the bone he separated from the steak.
I looked at him and smiled while I cried inside.
The pain I feel just thinking about that day.
