[Q] I have a group of promoted items and group of non-promoted items. I have been tasked with reporting back what the lift was for this promotion to our vp of sales.
Promoted Items- % Chg vs YA- Pre Promo 9.4%; During Promo 15.2%; 5.8 Point Change
Non-Promoted Items- % Chg vs YA- Pre Promo 23.4%; During Promo 25.7%; 2.3% Point Change
Point Change was 3.5 points higher in the promoted group
Everything I can find shows the formula for lift as being (Conversion Rate for Promo - Conversion Rate for Control)/Conversion Rate for Control. Would that mean lift is (5.8-2.3)/2.3= 155.7% ??
I was looking at it with a co-worker and they said the 3.5 points difference was my lift, but I not confident in that answer. I have looked at other explanations... even within this group, but Iam failing to understand.
