Is Rebels correct with the age gap?

In Season 2 of Star Wars Rebels I noticed that Leia looks and acts about 20 yrs of age. But if she’s the same age as Luke, who is still a little boy in season 3, why is Leia around 15 yrs of age? Is it because of the time difference from being a galaxy apart? Or is it just an accident from the writing department?
