Ended up spit balling a random game idea at work with a co-worker:
Short Pitch: Tropico but Star Wars
Long Pitch: The game start 20 years before TPM on a random uninhabited planet. You are placed in charge of setting up a settlement there. Along with the normal decisions of setting up a settlement you will also need to align your planet for the coming conflicts. You will essentially get 20-30 years to get your colony set up before needing to choose alignments in the Clone Wars then choosing how much to support the empire/rebellion. this would mostly be a city builder with politics and maybe some intelligence gathering but I would leave combat to simply supporting one side or another to influence how much they protect you and how much the other side attacks you. Do you go overt Loyalist to attract Jedi defenders, or separatist to earn profits from their trade, or try and stay out of the line of fire by staying neutral. An then how will those decisions play into your colony's position in the Empire?
All of this is just random spit balling but I wanted to share this idea out there for the hell of it. Does this sound interesting to people?
