So I'm new to Star wars books and I'm listening to the audiobook Thrawn now. I really love this book and saw the Heir to the empire trilogy. I was wondering if it's easy to follow if I've only watched cannon Star wars media or do I also need to read some Legends books to get into it or understand certain things? I've heard lots of amazing things about legends but looking at how many books there are it's a bit intimidated to get started with it.
