So I am currently in an iOS development program, and at the end of the program I want to use my knowledge to somehow create a startup, work at a startup, or come up with an app that will incentivize of make the idea of recycling and not littering "cool".
I currently live in NYC, and the amount of littering always makes me angry. First of all, there are NOT enough trash cans to keep up with the level of waste, which is the city's fault IMO.
Long story short, my understanding of getting investors interested is presenting an idea and goal that will benefit them as well as put them on the map. I believe if you have an idea in mind that preserves the environment, you would have a higher chance at getting investors interested as opposed to generic startups we see all the time.
Is this idea of mine too optimistic? Is my idea of revolutionizing the idea of how we deal with littering and waste just a silly fantasy? Will recycling ever be cool? I want to make it on the same level as Vine or other extremely social media platforms. I am truly passionate about recycling and not littering, as menial as it might sound.
Thanks for hearing me out.
