Post Body
- I'm a fullstack web development bootcamp graduate (more confident with frontend tbh)
- I worked for 2 companies after that and decided to piss off my bootcamp by resigning from both
- In the last company, I resigned because the lack of competency from the IT division manager, feeling stuck everyday working on a messy project that won't up my knowledge and skill, and pragmatic ambitionless tens of colleagues
- In the first company it was because of the lack of SOP and a reliable senior
- Tbh both companies should hire one - four senior devs that can clean up their mess instead of confusing 40 underpaid interns (hard on the second company)
- I have an app idea I want to seriously develop, aside from realizing I'm having difficulties to adapt to companies I can't like
- Let's just say I got a great partial scholarship for an Innovation & Entrepreneurship major (only this major has the scholarship and after 4 steps of interview I went with it)
- "Why not just find another scholarship and uni that supports CS?" I tried and it's really rare and difficult here
- The uni has a Programming & Robotics club I will definitely join
- My plan is to figure out how to establish a company, get connected with people alike, and still leverage my coding skills of course (with my app idea thing, building portfolios)
- To fill the CS knowledge gaps, I plan to also do OSSU courses at night/free time
- The uni also has student exchange programs abroad that I'll definitely look for a program that possibly offer the most CS related subjects
- Out of the blue I searched "Innovation & Entrepreneurship" in Reddit and a lot of people agree about pursuing an undergraduate degree in it is kind of a negative move with their rational explanations and opinions and what not
- Now I am anxious. what if this what if that what if what if what if :(
- Would be so relieving if someone would share a positive story about someone that has an undergraduate degree in this :(
- If I failed my dreams, still no job prospective at all? Really? :(
edit: this study program in the uni will require the students to also learn by practice so the students might start simple businesses in groups though I still don't know the details yet about how will it be like
