Why does USS enterprise require a clock in the ship
Post Body
Around the time 18:18 into the movie Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country, there's a clock in the background. What is the use of it when they are on a mission? They don't need Earth timings right?
Update: I'll give more information for better context. Starfleet (United Federation of Planets) has 4 founding civilizations one of which is United Earth. It has employees from many civilizations and worlds. That's why I felt it weird that they're following Earth time.
