I've been seeing alot of articles about the new Picard show lately, and most of them talk about what their theories for the show will be as it is a retired Admiral Picard about 30 years after TNG takes place. Most of the theories say that they think CBS will largely keep Discovery and Picard separate, but in my opinion they'd be missing a big opportunity to use older, original Canon to enhance the story of Discovery. They have already had Sarek as a pretty important character in the first two seasons of Discovery, and at the end of season two we see Spock come up with the idea to redact Discovery from Starfleet records as to explain why we never hear about them in other Star Treks. But Sarek still had that knowledge of course, so about a hundred years later when he Mind Melds with Picard to heal himself for those negotiations, wouldn't Picard gain all his classified Starfleet knowledge about Discovery, the spore drive, and the red angel? It depends on what they do with it in Discovery season 3 but I can see an older Admiral Picard trying to find something like a universal spore drive or a time traveling exosuit.
