So my wife and I are now in season 6 of TNG. I'm looking ahead to what to watch next, though that's a ways away. Our TV watching time together is very limited. In an ideal world we'd watch everything, but we just can't. For reference, it has taken us 5 years to get this far in TNG...
Our initial thought was to finish TNG, then watch the TNG movies, and then Picard. Does that make sense?
I do hear a lot of really good things about DS9, and in similar posts I see everyone recommended DS9 after TNG, then VOY, but typically make no mention of Picard (even when it was out), but I'm not sure why. With how long it takes us to watch these shows, I don't know if it makes sense to watch DS9 right after TNG, then watch Voyager, then watch Picard and not remember anything that's going on with the TNG storyline. Heck, we've already forgotten half of TNG and we're still watching it.
That said, if Picard has a lot of tie ins with other series, then I could understand [very slowly] working our way there, but I haven't looked up much to avoid spoilers.
Finishing TNG DS9 VOY PIC would probably take us 15 years at our current pacing, and that just sounds daunting. Who knows what will be out by then, too.
Thanks in advance!
