I am rewatching DS9 and it looks so shabby

It is a product of the nineties for sure. Hope they would do some kind of reboot with special effects like the ones in SNW. There are some scenes which are laughable to say the least.
I know TOS is worse, but DS9 should have had better special effects!

I'm fortunate that I actually like my sci fi to have old school/cheesy special effects. The show or movie then has to rely more on characters and plot
