Utterly pointless, I know, but I would love to hear the ideas from everyone.
My idea would be to jettison the entire Star Fleet Online continuity (don't get me started) and focus on the situation after the destruction of Romulus. I loved the idea of the fracturing Romulan Empire and its civil war. But I think that civil war should be more brutal; brutal enough that the Federation begins to debate whether or not to intervene for "humanitarian" reasons (or would it be "Romulanitarian"?) and a ship captain coming across one side of the civil war firing at refuges and defending them (shades of Enterprise C?) and getting the Federation involved anyway...
