I recently was invited to a small gathering of a pool party. I only knew 2 people and were meeting the other attendees once we arrived. Immediately upon entering the pool party’s host’s apartment, I felt an overwhelming sense of drama and attitude from the host. Her friend was even worst with a lot of unhealed trauma and baggage. Once we left the apartment and arrived at the pool, I was at peace. Or so I thought I was.

The host could not stop worrying if one of my friends was into her or not and made it a big ordeal throughout the event. Then, when I tried to engage in conversation with her friend, she would turn every positive topic into a negative one. It was emotionally draining talking to her so I walked away and talked with others at the party.

Eventually, people started leaving one by one which ended up with my 2 friends and the 2 girls. We went back to the apartment and as we were getting things packed to head out, the energy in the room was overwhelmingly filled with negative vibes. The host started becoming paranoid about what my friend and I were discussing, since she is into him. Her friend had a feeling when I walked away earlier that it was in reference to her behavior. Due to that, she made sure not to say anything to me and was on the other side of the living room far away from me.

After a few minutes of waiting for my friends to get ready, I just got sick of sitting in that apartment and needed to take a walk. The negative energy felt like a huge cloud covering the room as if I couldn’t breathe any more.

Leaving that space was the best thing for me. As Starseeds, we must protect our peace. This is a great example of exiting negatively energetic spaces in order to retain the light and love within you.
