Silver Medal Mission 3 (SF ASSAULT)

I honestly just need tips on getting the Silver Medal for Mission 3. I can get really close (~800 or more), but can't quite hit the 900 needed to get the Silver Medal. Advice?
Note: I know this subreddit is more for general StarFox stuff, but there's no StarFox: Assault subreddit, so I figured this place would be my best bet :/
EDIT: I beat the level after several hours if trying. Big thank-you to u/iron3000man for the advice!!!
