Post Body

So in our area DMs for games like D&D and Pathfinder are a dime a dozen, yet there hasn't been really any interest for people to DM Starfinder. 3 close friends and myself wanted to play badly, so yesterday I all of a sudden convinced myself I could DM a game. I created a game in the span of a few hours, using creatures from the Incident at Absalom, all while cramming the PHB.

I ended up drawing my maps on graph paper, which worked well, but I was wondering if you guys knew of any other kind of digital resources I could use for map creation. I tried using Dungeonographer, but it's not exactly user friendly.

I found more creatures just now in the Free RPG Day stuff, and it would have been useful yesterday, since the only monsters I had at my disposal were CR 1's and up. I ended up having to dial back and remove some monster encounters due to it being too hard for the players to complete the quest. All in all the players and myself had a great time, and I think it went better than I expected it to.
