Yet another larvae-inject method
Post Body

EDIT: Apparently none of this is new, in any way. Feel free to disregard the remainder of this post.

For the past couple of months I've been using this inject method and it's worked out really well for me. It's similar to the method explained in this post: http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=125725, with one difference: I changed the hotkey to cycle through hatcheries from backspace to caps lock. Here's the step by step differences, assuming you hotkeyed your queens to 5:

Backspace method: 5, v, hold right shift, backspace, click, backspace, click, etc.

Caps lock method: 5, caps lock, v, click, caps lock, v, click, etc

Pros:

  • Like the backpace method, it's faster than setting each queen to different hotkeys.

  • Most importantly, imo, it allows you to keep your hand by all the other hotkeys on the left side of the keyboard, instead of having to reach all the way over to backspace.

Cons:

  • You accidentally type in all caps about half the time.

In general, I've found it odd that the caps lock key hasn't really been used in any custom hotkey setups. It occupies prime real estate right next to the shift key, and the only downside to using it is typing in all caps sometimes, which doesn't bother me that much. I'd be interested to know if anyone else comes up with other ways to use the caps lock key.
