1) Remove perv spots on all maps, or at least move them to the 3rd instead of natural. These gives zerg an excess of information for basically no investment and can be annoying for Terran and Protoss to stop. I'm totally fine with overlord speed scouts or a Zerg being able to suicide a slow OV in for a scout after hiding it in some deadspace, but this free, constant spotter on army movement is unnecessary. A lot of people complain about the queens defensive strength but I think far to many people neglect the power this vision gives zerg in setting up early defense.
2) Zerg's lategame strength is considerable, and I believe a large portion of that is in the Viper. The Viper is a stupidly powerful unit, almost single-handedly countering Terran mech and is an extremely powerful tool against Skytoss and bio tank pushes. It also combos extremely well with Lurker play and is great at pulling retreating medivacs into their deaths.
My suggestion here is to split up some of its power. First, remove Microbial Shroud from the infestor, then replace it with either the Viper's yank OR Blinding cloud. Both make thematic sense as Infestor spells, both spells would still be good, but now some of the spellcaster power has been split up. If you move yank, Zergs won't have such an easy time picking off Carriers/BCs into Corruptor swarms, if you move blinding cloud Zergs won't have such an easy time countering tanks, all the while still having access to these important spells. Moving blinding cloud would have the added benefit of a neat combo where you can fungal units and keep them inside the blinding cloud. And if you moved yank Infestors would be an even better counter to mass Thor which I've seen a little of people complaining about. Overall I think spell swapping between these two units would be fantastic for the game.
3) Increase Shield Battery starting energy by some amount. I don't play enough Protoss to feel comfortable suggesting a number, but we see a lot of Protoss players just straight up dying to shit in early/midgame and PvP is a shitshow that I almost can't even watch anymore. They need some better defensive capabilities pronto. There's a real chance that this could once and for all break PvT in P's favor, but if that's the case we can then deal with that, but PvP to a high degree and PvZ to a lesser degree are the worst spots in the game right now IMO and something needs to change.
Let me know what you think, I'm hoping to start a discussing here, both about these changes I've suggested as well as other "non-nerfs" that could be applied to help balance the game.
