My experience has been... annoying. I played through the whole first campaign, and plan on buying Heart of the swarm. However until I do buy it i've tried playing online. I'm not very good at the game obviously, mainly because I play the game like I play every RTS i've played, trying to turtle. It seems to never work, so I tried rushing, building lots of cheap units and attacking in the first 5 min. That didn't work, and I tried going middle of the road, some decent units and a bit of a mix of low-cost and mid-cost stuff, that didn't work either. So I tried playing in teams to have a shoulder or two to lean on while I learned, and almost every match I've been yelled at for being a noob and not building the right things or building fast enough. Then I look to find these people yelling at me are vets that have WAY more time in the game than I do, surely they had to learn just like I am trying to now, but they seem to have no sympathy.
I like Zerg but i'm too slow and don't remember what my build-order is yet, and I try Terran and usually end up fighting people who already have seemingly dozens of high-cost units like battle-cruisers while i've barely got a few.
I'm just making my post to ask what everyone elses experience was starting out and if i'm just getting unlucky with the people i'm paired with.
