Whew! I know there are tons of people who have been waiting for this for a very long time, and it makes me very happy to finally bring it to you, almost on the one-year anniversary of Aligulac.

For the quick and dirty of it, go here. Things to keep in mind:

• This is just a beta test and I will remove functionality without warning if I find there is potential for abuse. Do not rely on this for any kind of production system yet.
• When we move out of beta I will change the URL from /api/beta/ to /api/v1/. This will happen at a point when I'm fairly confident I won't have to remove features and break production environments if any security holes pop up. Because that would just be bad. Existing API keys will remain valid.
• If I have previously designed any API-like functionality for you, and you are still using it, please migrate to this system as soon as it's stable. The patchwork solutions will be disabled eventually. Ask me if you're unaware if this applies to you.
• The database dump will remain available for download, and if you are just experimenting with the sciency part or you need huge query loads, maybe use that instead.

I'm not sure if I was able to explain it very well, so you can use this thread to throw me some questions if you're unsure what the API can or can't do.
