Zerg is my favorite faction in the game but I don’t feel like I understand how to play them properly. For reference, I am gold 1 with Terran and Gold 2 with Zerg.
My favorite way to play Terran is mech. It’s slower and more on the macro side (which is my favorite way to play) in comparison to bio. The units all feel like they have intuitive use cases.
On the other hand, when I play Zerg, I feel lost when it comes to what their overall game plan is. I know they’re a swarm and move fast, but the army compositions don’t make sense to me.
I never know when to build things like Roaches or Ravagers. When I watch pro games, the casters tend to mention how Roaches aren’t good for their supply so I don’t tend to make them. I hear that Hydras aren’t that good either so I shy away from them as well.
Hive tech as a whole I don’t know how to pilot and when I should be getting Lurkers/Ultras. I know that Vipers are good against sieged tanks but that’s about it.
Whenever I play Zerg and lose, I don’t really know where to look at for improvement when it comes to what units I make and how I use them. If anyone has advice or videos to watch, I’d really appreciate it!
