A positive post: an amazing session I had (a.k.a., a step by step experience on how I had every workaround ready for the usual issues and bugs)

Post Body

Yesterday I had a very pleasant and long session, mainly due to knowing beforehand what to do to avoid game-breaking issues. I wanted to share it with everybody in order to provide my small experience on how is actually possible to enjoy the game, beside its overt flaws and problems.

-------

First of all, I spawned as usual in my Green Glade Station Hab

workaround #1 - I never set my spawn/regeneration point in big ground cities since it's always a mess in terms of interaction delays and such. On space stations I can move and buy stuff and use elevators with minor and not game-breaking issues

Then, I proceeded to my temporary hangar and checked my personal inventory stuff to find and try a new weapon, of which I couldn't find the ammo due to the crowded "ammo" section and the lack of a search option

workaround #2 - I went to a galleria armor shop and hit the "sell" button, searching in that menu if I had the propor ammos. I found them, saw the image and the amount, and went back to my hangar to catch them

Then, I wanted to add a couple of mods to this weapon, but I couldn't move them from the personal inventory to my backpack

workaround #3 - I dragged the mod on my hand and I was able to handle it. Then, right click to store it and I had it in my backpack and I could attach it to the weapon. This is a general trick I use to move stuff from the personal inventory to me if there is this bug.

Then, I lifted off and decided to go to Hurston and find a mercenary job, but QT travel was not starting after pointing to hurston

workaround #4 - Quickly press B to rotate the nav and scn modes and go back to QT mode, this will make the QT travel to be engaged

I finished a bunker mission and then saw some abandoned ships from other players and decided to scrap them a bit

workaround #5 - I don't enter these ships as this act would give me a trespassing status and delete the countdown to leave the area after completing the bunker mission. This would activate the turrets and destroy my ship

I leave the area in my ship and go in space to find other interesting POIs. I'd need to heal my right arm from a tier 3 injury. I should also drink and eat.

workaround #6 - This would incapacitate me. To avoid this, I pilot the ship and faint from G force few times. Then the bug is gone and I can heal and drink safely

I find a ground POI on the map, described as an abandonded mine, so I decide to visit the place. I land and I'm ready to get out.

workaround #7 - I always take a good look at the ramp before going out. This time it's kinda startling, probably due to the fact that it's almost hitting a big rock on the surface. I'm sure if I'd get out like this, the ship could be damaged or bend over itself making me impossible to enter again. I sit in the pilot seat, lift off and park again in a more flat area

After exploring the mine (lucky me, there were hand minable resources and collectibles and very nice hidden cave scenarios) I lift and randomly fly above the atmosphere finding an unlisted POI, something like a damaged ship and asteroids. I EVA outside the ship and reach for the debris to study them.

workaround #8 - I see my level of oxygen decreasing while EVAing and I could refill it with an oxypen. I avoid to due it due to the incapacitating drinking and healing bug, since I can just refill oxygen by entering again my ship.

-----

That would conclude this long essay, I hope somebody can find it useful or inspirational to not give up, the game can be still played, once you play the workaround game ^_^

Safe travels!

EDIT. By no means I find it normal or ideal or funny to have to work against these issues for a play session. Nonetheless, I can still enjoy the game until it's properly fixed ("soooooon") and I guess I can bear some extra steps of attention here and there if this means I can enjoy SC.
