Tips for finding casual surface deposits for hand mining?

I know I can find hand mining deposits in cave but investigations are not appearing anymore in my mobiglass.

For this reason I went exploring the surface of the planeta and just once I found delovine hand minable deposits. "Cool" I thought. But then for the next 3 hours I only found mineral deposits which weren't hand minable.

Do you have any trick to find this? Do they have a specific symbol? I swear everytime I find delovine minerals they seem small enought to be hand minable, but in the end they are not and I can't extract a thing from them.
