Game is freezing and crashing to desktop from 3mins to 10mins in - this happening to anyone else?

I played with no issues until 3.18.1 - ever since I spawn in lorevill and I crash before I can get to my ship. I've reinstalled the game, turned down settings but this is prevalent. Am I alone?
