I had a lady come through the drive thru one morning and order about 5 drinks. she also ordered food- a chocolate croissant, two butter croissants, and a cheese danish. i check every bag that my oven person gives me just in case they accidentally give me something from another order. i check the food and it’s 100% correct, hand it out to the lady. she checks the bag and tells me she’s missing a butter croissant. initially i didn’t doubt that maybe i messed up her order and she actually wanted three, so i asked her and she said she ordered two. i tell her i checked her bag beforehand and there were two (2) butter croissants in there. she rudely denies it and begins to sh me every single bag- then she takes back the one her kid bit into and says, “see, chocolate.” it was a butter croissant with chocolate on the pastry bag. i tell her, and she realizes she was wrong. she doesn’t apologize or anything, just takes her drink and rudely drives off. sometimes people make me question why they become rude immediately without considering they might be in the wrong. we are humans too, and if i made a mistake i would have gotten her another croissant. it just reminded me how i’m constantly treated like an animal or servant here.
